Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be downtime during migration?+
No. We copy backups to the EU region first, verify integrity, then update the configuration to point to the new location. Old backups are deleted after verification.
What if we use multiple cloud providers?+
We handle multi-cloud. Each provider's backup is migrated to their respective EU region: AWS eu-central-1, GCP europe-west1, Azure westeurope.
Does this also cover application data, not just backups?+
This service focuses on backup storage location. If your live application data is also outside EU, that requires a separate migration.
What about CDN caches that might store personal data?+
We check CDN configurations and ensure cache headers prevent personal data from being cached. If personal data is found in CDN caches, we configure cache-control headers to exclude it.
How do we know all backups are now in EU?+
We provide a verification document listing every storage location, its region, and the data types stored. Plus we configure monitoring alerts if any backup is accidentally created outside EU.
